These headlights are significantly brighter than the OEM headlights that were on my 2004 Honda Odyssey EXL-RES. I drove the van the night I put them in and they do a much better job of lighting up the short distance objects. They also project down the road about 30 feet farther than standard headlights. Also, the pattern spread is marginally better so that I can see a little bit more of the side of the road as I drive. These headlights also get washed out less when it rains but they still get washed out quite a bit. (When it rains it looks almost like you don't have headlights on even though you do. A lot of this type of headlights suffer from this.) My greatest concern now that I like the bulb is life span. The bulbs that came on the van are rated to last 2400 hours and these Xtra-vision bulbs are slated to last only 850. So you can expect to get 2-3 years out of the bulb.

I justify this purchase because even though an original bulb lasts 2400 hours, it doesn't maintain its maximum brighness that whole time. A lot of headlight bulbs start to go dim after a couple of years.

This is worth the purchase. Just always keep an extra pair in your glovebox in case one of the lights blows out. Buying a second set is cheaper than getting a ticket.
