Crude, made in China (2008-08-13)
Roughly finished and crudely painted, this product has the Warn name on it, but it is made in China. After ordering this item, I found that I could obtain the industry standard Crosly brand shackles for a few dollars less by going to the local tractor supply/heavy equipment rental store. Same capacity, but cheaper, better finished and made in USA.

If you travel off-highway, there are a number of things you should always carry with you. One of the simplest but most important is the d-shackle (AKA D-Ring). This item is used to attach the vehicle to a tow strap, winch attachment, etc. It is designed to handle the high stresses imposed during recovery operations. Don't leave home without them!
